Nagma Chaudhry M.Ost, BSN, DO, RN - Graduated from the European School of Osteopathy. Nagma has experience treating patients from various specialistic clinics such as children, women’s health and sports clinic. Her time spent working for the NHS and other fields of health care, has garnered her the experience of working with and treating people from all ages and in different clinical scenarios, ranging from surgical to acute settings. Treatments include manipulative-structural, cranial and visceral osteopathic techniques integrated with therapeutic massage, manual lymphatic drainage, myofascial release and western medical acupuncture. By integrating her medical background with her knowledge of Osteopathy Nagma has created a unique way of working with patients. The aim of her work is to release tension by addressing not only the painful areas, but also taking into consideration the function of the brain on the body, thereby creating space for release, self-healing and co-regulation. This may at times, include unwinding layers of trauma that can build up through life, or as a result of particular events. She believes firmly in educating and empowering people by giving them advice on exercise and lifestyle changes to encourage patients’ active recovery. Nagma is a member of the Institute of Osteopathy and the General Osteopathic Council. As a Registered Osteopath she enjoys taking regular courses in areas of interest as part of her continued professional development. Nagma is also a certified Mummy MOT practitioner.

Having learnt the basics of Japanese acupuncture practice in Tokyo in the late 1980’s James returned to London to do a full-time course. His current acupuncture practice is based on the work of Kiiko Matsumoto Sensei, whereby diagnosis is largely carried out by palpation of the abdomen, chest and neck, and this leads directly to treatment. Patients are quickly able to feel changes and therefore that the treatment is working. As is typical of Japanese acupuncture, very fine needles are used, along with a variety of other treatment techniques such as moxibustion, ‘Tiger Warmer’ and magnets, so that both the root and symptomatic presentation of symptoms are addressed. James trained and worked with Andy Harrop at Dulwich Acupuncture from 2001, joining The Vale Practice in 2022 when Dulwich Acupuncture closed.
